26th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  1. Liturgical Calendar for the Coming Week

As we enter the month of October, dedicated to the Holy Rosary, we are called to deepen our prayer life. We encourage you to pray the Rosary daily, meditating on the mysteries from the lives of our Lord and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our prayer intention for the Living Rosary is for an increase in the spirit of prayer within our parish, our families, and each of our lives.

    • Monday, 29 September: The Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, Archangels. Mass will be celebrated at 19:00 in Russian or combined if needed.
    • Tuesday, 30 September: The Memorial of St. Jerome, Priest and Doctor of the Church. St. Jerome, the translator of the Bible into the Latin Vulgate, embodies for us a deep love for Sacred Scripture.
    • Wednesday, 1 October: The Memorial of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus (Thérèse of Lisieux), Virgin and Doctor of the Church. This great mystic taught us the "little way" of spiritual childhood.
    • Thursday, 2 October: The Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels. We entrust our daily journey to their care.
    • Friday, 3 October: The First Friday of the month, dedicated to the devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at 17:30. We invite everyone to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. On this day we also recall the death of St. Francis of Assisi. A service in his memory will be held at 18:15, followed by Holy Mass at 19:00.
    • Saturday, 4 October: The Solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi, deacon, founder of the Franciscan family. This feast is especially dear to our parish, which is under the spiritual care of the Franciscans. Please pray for our entire Franciscan community, the priests and brothers serving in Uzbekistan. The Solemn Mass will be celebrated at 18:00.

    Parish Life Updates

    1. October Devotions: During October, we will pray the Rosary before the 10:00 Mass (starting at 9:40). We also invite 1 or 2 families each week to collectively arrange for the offertory gifts (fruits, sweets, flowers, etc.). To volunteer or for more information, please contact Rey from the Parish Council.
    2. Monthly Birthday/Anniversary Mass: Starting on 5 October 2025 (the first Sunday of the month), we will offer the Mass for parishioners celebrating birthdays or anniversaries that month.
    3. Parish Picnic: A joint parish picnic (for both the Russian and English-speaking communities) is planned for 19 October 2025. More details will follow soon.
    4. Church Calendar: The Parish Council is preparing a church calendar that will include English Masses on Sundays, Holy Days of Obligation, and Feasts. Suggestions from parishioners are most welcome.
    5. Mass Intentions: Mass intention envelopes are available at the entrance of the chapel and the church. Please complete all details (your intention, contact information, etc.) and include your love offering (at least $10 per intention). Seal the envelope and return it to Fr. Michal or any Parish Council member.
    6. Volunteering for Readings: Anyone interested in leading the readings on Sunday may contact Rashmi D’Souza at rashmi.dsouza2007@gmail.com.
    7. Daily Bible Readings: We encourage parishioners to use the USCCB website for the daily readings: https://bible.usccb.org/daily-bible-reading.

Fundraising for a New Sound System
The fundraising campaign for a new, high-quality sound system for our parish continues. We heartily thank everyone who has already contributed. To date, we have collected about $800. We ask for your prayers and financial support for this important community project. For details or to make a donation, please speak with the parish priest.

    The Lord be with you!
