30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

  1. Liturgical Calendar for the Coming Week

    • Tuesday, 28 October: Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, Apostles.
    • Saturday, 1 November: The Solemnity of All Saints. Holy Mass is obligatory. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 hrs in Russian and at 18:00 hrs in English and Russian.
    • Sunday, 2 November: The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls' Day). After the 10:00 Mass, we will go to the Botkin Street cemetery to pray for our departed. The prayers will begin 30 minutes after the end of Mass.

    A Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions (state of grace, reception of Confession and Holy Communion, prayer for the Pope's intentions) is available from November 1 to November 8 for those who visit a cemetery and pray for the departed or, in a church or chapel, devoutly recite the Lord's Prayer, the Creed, and any other prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father.

  2. November: Month of prayer for the Holy Souls

    • Throughout November, we pray especially fervently for the departed.
    • Lists for names are available at the entrance to the church. Please write the names of your deceased loved ones clearly and in block letters. Please return the completed lists to the sacristy.
  3. Fundraising for New Sound System

    • The collection for the purchase and installation of a new, high-quality sound system continues. We sincerely thank everyone who has already contributed.
    • Approximately $3,800 has been raised so far.
    • Targeted collections will be held after each Sunday Mass. The final collection will be on November 2.
    • If you cannot contribute at that time but wish to help, you may leave a note in the sacristy with the intended donation amount and your contact details. This helps us with budget planning.

  4. Parish Updates & Reminders

    • The Birthday and Anniversary Blessing for the month of November will be celebrated on November 2.
    • Adoration on Saturdays: Every Saturday, Eucharistic Adoration is held from 16:30 until the start of the evening Mass.
    • Mass Intentions: Mass intention envelopes ($10 per intention) are available at the entrances. Please complete them and give them to Fr. Michal or a Parish Council member.
    • Volunteers for Readings: Those interested in reading on Sundays, please contact Rashmi D’Souza to register for November and December. We request all interested Parishioners to register their names with Rashmi as we plan to allocate the readings to the registered members in advance for the month of November and December 2025. This will help in building a system in place.

  1. Liturgical Calendar for the Coming Week

    • Tuesday, 21 October — Memorial of the blessed Jakub Strepa, Bishop (one of the heavenly patrons of our Kraków Franciscan Province, whose name the Province bears). The friars of the Kraków Province will pray this day for the canonization of Blessed Jakub Strepa; please join them in prayer.
    • Wednesday, 22 October — Solemnity of St. John Paul II. Because St. John Paul II is a heavenly patron of our Church and of the Apostolic Administration in Uzbekistan, his feast will be transferred and celebrated on the following Sunday, 26 October.
    • Thursday, 23 October — Memorial of St. John of Capistrano, Priest.
  2. November Remembrance of the Dead

    • November soon approaches, the month in which we especially pray for all the faithful departed.
    • Sheets for the names of your deceased loved ones will be available on the table at the church entrance. Please write names legibly, in BLOCK LETTERS. Completed sheets should be returned to the sacristy.
  3. Fundraising for a New Sound System

    • The collection to purchase and install a new high-quality sound system continues. We warmly thank everyone who has already contributed.
    • To date approximately $3,000 has been raised.
    • Until the end of October, a special collection box will be available after each Sunday Mass for targeted donations. If you are unable to give at that time but wish to help, please leave a note indicating the intended donation amount, the planned date of payment, and your contact details — this helps us plan the budget and next steps.

    IV. Parish Updates & Reminders
    October Devotions:
    During October, the month of the Holy Rosary, the Rosary will be prayed before the 10:00 AM Mass (beginning at 9:40 AM).
    Bible Reading Guide: Daily readings may also be consulted at the USCCB site: https://bible.usccb.org/daily-bible-reading.
    Mass Intentions: Intention envelopes are available at the entrance of the Chapel and the Church. Please complete details, enclose the suggested offering ($10 per intention), seal the envelope, and return it to Fr. Michal or any Parish Council member.
    November Masses for the Dead: Special intention forms for November (for the faithful departed) will be available at the table and from the Parish Council. Completed forms will be collected and the intentions read before Mass throughout November 2025.

  1. Liturgical Calendar for the Coming Week

    • Wednesday, 15 October: Memorial of St. Teresa of Ávila, Virgin and Doctor of the Church.
    • Thursday, 16 October: Memorial of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Virgin. It was through this humble French nun that the Lord revealed to the world the salvific necessity of honoring the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
    • Friday, 17 October: Memorial of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Bishop and Martyr.
    • Saturday, 18 October: Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist.
  2. Parish Picnic & 20th Anniversary Celebration – 19 October

    • Our Parish Picnic will take place this Sunday, 19 October. This event also marks the 20th Anniversary of the establishment of the Apostolic Administration in Uzbekistan.
    • On that day, there will be only one combined Mass in English and Russian at 11:00 AM.
    • The Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency Giovanni d’Aniello, Apostolic Nuncio to Uzbekistan.
    • After the Mass, the church grounds will be closed until the Korean Mass at 16:00 (4:00 PM).
    • All who wish to participate in the picnic and help with its organization, please contact: Andrew Hardisty (for the English-speaking community)

  1. Liturgical Calendar for the Coming Week & Special Celebrations

    • Tuesday, 7 October: Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary.

    On this feast day, the Sisters of Mother Teresa will hold Eucharistic Adoration in the lower chapel of our church from 10:00 to 19:00. Everyone is invited to join in prayer.

  2. Spiritual Exercises

    The Franciscans will be away for their spiritual exercises from 6 to 18 October. We ask for your prayers for us, that this time may yield abundant spiritual fruit, strengthen us in our vocation, and foster growth in faith and piety.

  3. Parish Picnic – 19 October

    • Our Parish Picnic for the Russian and English communities will take place on Sunday, 19 October.
    • On that day, there will be only one combined Mass in English and Russian at 11:00.
    • The Mass will be celebrated by His Excellency Giovanni d’Aniello, Apostolic Nuncio to Uzbekistan.
    • After the Mass, the church grounds will be closed until the Korean Mass at 16:00.
    • All who wish to participate in the picnic and help with its organization, please contact Andrew Hardisty, who is coordinating the preparation for the English-speaking community.
